2011:

• In May, eks Engel celebrates its 80th anniversary and inaugurates its new production hall which is 800 sqm big.

2010:

• After becoming finalist in 2009, eks Engel was awarded the "Great prize of middle classes" by the Oskar-Patzelt foundation.

2006:

• In the course of its 75th anniversary, eks presents the new offices. The production building has been extended by a second floor for sales, purchasing and marketing offices.

1994:

• Ralph Engel became managing director. Today, the company’s main focus is on the expansion of the fiber optic business. As eks has combined the production and distribution of fiber optic components, they are now offering fiber optic systems from one source.

1986:

• The company started to produce the first fiber optic systems.

1962:

• The founder’s son, Günter Engel, took over the business and the company specialized in electric installation, home automation and communication systems. Later, the development of electronic components was established.

1931:

• The company “Albert Engel” was founded as a company specialized in engine and armature winding.
