Product description
The interface module LCON-4x works as a coupler of RS422 four-wired busses with fiber optic busses.
Since the connection of too many units, too long transmission paths, EMG distortion and potential differences are still great problems in a network, optical data transmission is the optimum solution.
LCON-41 and LCON-42 are RS422 fiber optic converters with one RS422 channel and one fiber optic channel to receive and transmit. Compared to LCOn-41, LCON-42 allows a connection to the RS422 signals at terminals.
LCON-42D allows a drop mode with half duplex transmission.
By connecting two fiber optic cables to other eks interface modules such as LWL-2, LWL-9N, LWL-KS or LCON, it is possible to convert the interface directly (if the system’s transfer rate and the protocol are equal).
