The interface module LCON works as a coupler of RS485 two-wired busses with fiber optic busses.
The connection of too many units, too long transmission paths, emg-distortion and potential differences are still great problems in a network. The solution to that is optical data transmission.
LCON-1 is a RS485 fiber optic converter with one fiber optic channel and one RS485 channel.
LCOn-2 is a RS485 fiber optic branch-T coupler. It has got one RS484 channel and two fiber optic channels. Each channel is connected to the other channels by an electronic circuit. A message received on one channel is electronically edited, amplified and coupled back into the other two channels. This allows the creation of any network structure. LCON-2 as a branch-T coupler in the fiber optic bus structure provides a RS485 branch
