FIMP - Splice boxes: 15 years of high quality

When it comes to connecting terminal equipment to data communication via fiber optics (FO), splice boxes are a practical alternative. The FIMP family now consists of 10 different compact splice boxes.

COMPACT SPLICE BOXES OF THE FIMP FAMILY

The "Fiber Industrial Mini Patch" family, FIMP for short, today comprises ten different splice-ready boxes, from compact versions for DIN rail mounting to variants for 19'' cabinets and in-line installation according to DIN 43880.

Technological milestones include our hybrid splice box and the FIMP-XL model. With them, you can either combine power supply via copper cable with data transmission via FO and twisted pair or use proven technologies from the IT world such as MPO (Multipath Push-On), which is particularly valued in data centers due to its high packing density, at the field level.

Of course, end devices can also be wired in the classic way with fiber optics. But connecting connectors on site has its pitfalls, as does the use of preassembled cables. On the other hand, you can neatly insert and fix the sensitive fibers in our splice boxes. In addition, patch cables can be used for patching, which is easy to do.

And if the worst comes to the worst, replacing them - unlike repairing a loose or out fiber - only costs a few euros.
