PEL-S2
pe-light-S2 devices are complete industrial solutions for installation in earthed steel light poles (inner diameter > 120 mm). They comply with the following standards in the valid versions:
DIN EN 40-5 requirements for steel lighting pylons
DIN 49778 Light poles, equipment jamb with sliding nuts
pe-light-S2 devices may only be operated in earthed poles made of metal with fire protection class V-1 or better!
The pe-light-S2 consists of a PoE managed gigabit Ethernet switch with four x-coded M12 connectors and up to two fiber-optic connections for multimode or singlemode optical fibers, that are combined together with splice tray, power supply unit, fuses and connection terminal in a compact housing.
PoE Ethernet switch
The PoE switch can deliver up to 60W via each of the four M12 connectors. Over-all, the power is limited to a maximum of 120 W. Starting at ambient temperatures of 30 °C, the maximum output power is limited by a derating of 3.5 W per Kelvin.
If connected PD devices demand more power than available, then the ports are turned off with a prioritization. P1 has the highest priority, P4 the lowest priority.
The following PoE standards are supported:
- IEEE 802.3 af, class 1 to 3, type 1
- IEEE 802.3 at, class 4, type 2
- IEEE 802.3 bt, Class 1 to 6, Type 3
